UK regulator fines PayPal £250,000

The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority imposed a £250,000 fine on PayPal Holdings Inc., PayPal (Europe) Sarl et Cie SCA and PayPal SE for failing to comply with certain rules of an order in relation to the acquisition of iZettle AB.

By contacting potential U.K. customers, PayPal risked impairing the ability of iZettle and PayPal to compete independently, and it risked undermining the separate sales or brand identities of PayPal, PayPal Here and iZettle, contrary to the initial order's requirement.
