PTT PCL said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 5.14 baht per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 7.81 baht per share.
EPS fell 29.7% year over year from 7.31 baht.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 14.68 billion baht, a decline of 29.7% from 20.88 billion baht in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 18.7% on an annual basis to 536.68 billion baht from 660.46 billion baht, and total operating expenses fell 19.6% on an annual basis to 489.76 billion baht from 608.95 billion baht.
Reported net income decreased 20.2% from the prior-year period to 23.38 billion baht, or 8.19 baht per share, from 29.32 billion baht, or 10.26 baht per share.
As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 35.26 baht.
