Blue Sky Uranium Corp. on March 5 announced a maiden resource estimate for the Ivana deposit of its Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Argentina.
At a cutoff of 100 parts per million of uranium, the deposit hosts 19.1 million pounds of triuranium octoxide, or U3O8, contained within 23.9 million tonnes averaging 363 ppm of U3O8 in the inferred category.
The estimate was based on 427 reverse circulation drillholes for 6,577 meters under a two-phase program that ended in January.
Blue Sky expects to extract resources via open pit methods, while metallurgical and beneficiation testing is in progress to provide more data for an initial preliminary economic assessment this year.
Th Ivana deposit remains open for expansion.
