Dutch food retailer Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said May 29 that it repurchased 1,841,292 of its common shares between May 21 and May 25.
The shares were bought back at an average price of €19.76 per share for a total consideration of €36.4 million.
The buyback is part of the €2 billion share repurchase program announced by the retailer Nov. 8, 2017.
A total of 42,678,115 common shares have been repurchased under this program to date, for a total consideration of €795.2 million.
