Mondelēz to move HQ to Chicago

Snack food company Mondelēz International Inc. will move its headquarters to Chicago from Deerfield, Ill., the Chicago Tribune reported, citing Chairman and CEO Dirk Van de Put.

Mondelēz will move 400 employees into the new five-story headquarters in April 2020. The Oreo and Chips Ahoy parent said it signed a 15-year lease on the 77,100-square foot location.

Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal said the move would not have a major economic impact on the village, the Chicago Tribune reported.
