Donear Industries fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

Donear Industries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 17 Indian paise per share, an increase from 8 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.9 million rupees, an increase from 3.9 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.7% from 0.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 1.23 billion rupees from 1.21 billion rupees, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to 1.16 billion rupees from 1.14 billion rupees.

Reported net income decreased 25.6% year over year to 10.7 million rupees, or 21 paise per share, from 14.4 million rupees, or 28 paise per share.

As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 61.40 Indian rupees.
