E-commerce company Zalando SE said Aug. 19 that it is testing same-day and next-day deliveries of Adidas AG products in Paris as part of a new partnership between the two companies.
Under the program, Zalando will deliver orders placed on Adidas France's website. Items will be packed in a Zalando logistics center but shipped in unbranded shipping boxes, according to the release.
The first packages during the pilot were delivered to Adidas customers in Paris within a two-hour delivery window, Zalando said.
The partnership is part of Zalando Fulfillment Solutions, a program in which the company handles customer fulfillment for its brand partners. Zalando said it has more than 100 partners to date across 14 European markets.
The Zalando-Adidas trial will run for six to 12 months. After that, the two companies will assess the results of the initiative.
