Lincoln Financial Group added Gary DeMaio to its retirement plan services product team as vice president of small corporate market and product management. He most recently worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as contribution product head.

Lincoln Financial Group is the marketing name for Lincoln National Corp. and its affiliates.


American International Group Inc.'s chief underwriting officer of credit lines, Ed Brittenham, left the company, The Insurance Insider reported. He joined AIG in 1987 as a financial lines manager in Belgium and worked for AIG Europe until October 2002.


Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society Ltd. appointed Clive Boston managing director of life and pensions, effective Jan. 7. He will replace John Perks, who is leaving the company in April.

Boston is a consultant with the International Longevity Centre and a nonexecutive member of the Civil Service Pension Scheme Advisory Board.


Holmes Murphy & Associates Inc. appointed Chris Nelson general counsel in Des Moines, Iowa, Insurance Journal reported. Nelson comes to Holmes Murphy from law firm Belin McCormick, where he was an attorney.

He will be responsible for leading corporate legal strategy and tactical legal initiatives for the company.

Property and casualty

Willis Towers Watson PLC appointed Simon Weaver head of Australasia, effective Jan. 7. His current role as head of corporate risk and broking was merged into the head of Australasia position.

The insurer also announced the appointment of Colin Forrest as regional leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa in its insurance consulting and technology business.

Forrest, who will replace Frank Schepers, most recently was leader of the U.K. life team within the insurance consulting and technology business.


Argo Group International Holdings Ltd.'s Argo Group U.S. named Gary Grose interim head of its Colony Specialty business.

Grose will continue to serve as Argo Group's head of marketing and producer management while he serves in the interim Colony role. Argo Group is looking for a permanent replacement for Ron Vindivich, who is planning to retire.


Liberty Mutual Re, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, appointed Uwe Haug head of underwriting strategy and business development for its global financial risks reinsurance business, effective March 1. He will lead the financial risks reinsurance business jointly with Susan Barber.

Previously, Haug was at Hannover Re.

Liberty Mutual Re is the rebranded reinsurance division of Liberty Specialty Markets Ltd.


Nigeria-based Linkage Assurance PLC received approval for the appointment of Daniel Braie as the substantive managing director of the company.

Most recently, Braie was the company's executive director, technical.
