Norwegian oil, gas output continues to tumble in September

The production of oil, NGLs and condensate in Norwegian waters came in at an average of 1.57 million barrels per day in September, down from the 1.66 million bbl/d reported for August, according to preliminary figures released by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate on Oct. 15.

Gas sales for September totaled 5.8 billion standard cubic meters, dropping from the 8.2 billion standard cubic meters seen in August.

Oil production for September was reported at 1.31 million bbl/d, down from the 1.36 million bbl/d posted for August and 7.7% lower than the Directorate's forecast for September. The decline was attributed to technical problems and maintenance work on some undisclosed fields.

NGL and condensate production for September averaged 244,000 bbl/d and 18,000 bbl/d, respectively.
