Wayfair leads new media short interest gainers in early March

Wayfair Inc. posted the biggest jump in short interest relative to shares outstanding among SNL Kagan-covered new media companies between Feb. 28 and March 15.

The percentage of the company's shares held short relative to shares outstanding increased 260 basis points to 27.49% as of March 15.

MeetMe saw the largest drop in short interest relative to shares outstanding among SNL Kagan-covered new media companies between Feb. 28 and March 15. The company saw short interest decline 149 basis points to 10.25% of shares outstanding at the end of the period.

Pandora Media Inc. topped the list of most shorted new media companies in the first half of March. The company saw short interest climb 229 basis points to 28.48% of shares outstanding.
