Perpetual increases holding interest in Australian education company

Investment firm Perpetual Ltd. and affiliates on Jan. 29 increased their stake in Australian education company RedHill Education Ltd. to 13.71%.

Perpetual said in a regulatory filing that it has acquired 1,876,888 ordinary RedHill Education securities for a total consideration of nearly A$3.9 million, upping its present relevant interest to 4,166,938 voting shares as of Jan. 29.

The investment company previously disclosed an ownership of 2,337,357 voting shares, or a 7.72% voting stake, in RedHill Education on Sept. 15, 2016.

As of Jan. 26, US$1 is equivalent to A$1.23.
