Cetera Financial Group Inc. named Thomas Taylor president of Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, one of the group's member companies. Taylor will replace Douglas King, who is leaving the company to "pursue entrepreneurial ventures."

Roger Berry, Felix Erbring and Ted Gray, former brokers at UBS Group AG, joined the private banking and investment group of Bank of America Corp.'s Merrill Lynch, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Mizuho Americas LLC hired Mark McLain and Peter Heller as managing directors focusing on equity trading for the utilities and energy sectors. McLain worked previously as managing director at Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. unit Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. Heller's previous position was head of trading at CRT Sterne Agee.
