All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥19.26 per share, a decrease of 34.9% from ¥29.56 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥6.74 billion, a decline of 34.8% from ¥10.33 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 1.6% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥404.43 billion from ¥413.88 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥390.29 billion from ¥397.13 billion.
Reported net income declined 20.7% year over year to ¥6.65 billion, or ¥19.00 per share, from ¥8.38 billion, or ¥23.97 per share.
