Union Pioneer Q3 profit climbs YOY

Union Pioneer PCL said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 1.23 baht per share, an increase from 41 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 9.2 million baht, an increase from 3.1 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.1% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 151.9 million baht, compared with 152.8 million baht in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses decreased 7.2% on an annual basis to 137.2 million baht from 147.9 million baht.

Reported net income grew year over year to 11.3 million baht, or 1.51 baht per share, from 4.1 million baht, or 55 satang per share.

As of Nov. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 35.85 baht.
