4910749 said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to 6 Malaysian sen per share, an increase from 6 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 20.2 million ringgits, a gain from 19.8 million ringgits in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 9.3% from 7.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 19.9% on an annual basis to 218.2 million ringgits from 272.3 million ringgits, and total operating expenses decreased 18.4% year over year to 198.3 million ringgits from 243.0 million ringgits.
