Verizon launching 5G Ultra Wideband service in Greater Phoenix

Verizon Communications Inc. will roll out its 5G Ultra Wideband Network in Greater Phoenix on Aug. 23.

The network will launch in Downtown Phoenix around several landmarks, including Phoenix Convention Center, Talking Stick Resort Arena, The Orpheum Theatre, CityScape and Chase Field, Verizon said Aug. 22. The wideband service will also roll out in Tempe, on the Arizona State University campus.

Verizon teamed up with Boingo Wireless Inc. to roll out the service indoors and to public areas such as airports, stadiums and more as part of its 5G network expansions.

Verizon recently launched its 5G Ultra Wideband Network in parts of Atlanta, Detroit, Indianapolis and Washington, D.C.

Beginning Aug. 23, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s three new Galaxy Note 10 smartphones will be available for purchase at Verizon stores. The Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G starts at $36.11 a month for 36 months on Verizon Device Payment. The Note10+ starts at $45.83 a month for 24 months and the Note10 starts at $39.58 a month for 24 months on Verizon Device Payment.
