JinkoSolar signs 1.43-GW module supply agreement that supports US expansion

JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc. agreed to supply 1.43 GW of modules to independent power producer sPower.

The three-year agreement includes significant down payments to help the JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. subsidiary expand its manufacturing capacity in the U.S. and Asia, according to a June 5 news release.

Executives of China-based JinkoSolar said in March that they are moving ahead with plans to assemble solar panels at a plant in Jacksonville, Fla., despite the tariff imposed on imported solar cells.

JinkoSolar said it has supplied more than 800 MW of solar panels for sPower's photovoltaic projects to date.
