Kristal Kola Q1 profit climbs YOY

Kristal Kola ve Mesrubat Sanayi Ticaret AS said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 268,920 lira, a gain from 100,870 lira in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.3% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 15.6% year over year to 11.8 million lira from 10.2 million lira, and total operating expenses rose 14.7% from the prior-year period to 11.5 million lira from 10.1 million lira.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 284,790 lira, or 1 kurus per share, from 122,990 lira, or 0 kurus per share.

As of May 11, US$1 was equivalent to 2.69 Turkish lira.
