WDI Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥12.65 per share, a gain of 74.2% from ¥7.27 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥80.1 million, an increase of 74.2% from ¥46.0 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.4% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 18.7% on an annual basis to ¥5.91 billion from ¥4.98 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 17.1% from the prior-year period to ¥5.69 billion from ¥4.86 billion.
Reported net income rose year over year to ¥154.0 million, or ¥24.32 per share, from ¥23.0 million, or ¥3.63 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
