Cepatwawasan Group Q3 profit climbs YOY

Cepatwawasan Group Bhd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 3 Malaysian sen per share, an increase from 1 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.7 million ringgits, an increase from 3.2 million ringgits in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 11.0% from 4.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 7.5% year over year to 79.1 million ringgits from 73.5 million ringgits, and total operating expenses declined 5.5% year over year to 64.7 million ringgits from 68.4 million ringgits.

Reported net income grew year over year to 10.4 million ringgits, or 3 sen per share, from 3.6 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share.

As of Oct. 20, US$1 was equivalent to 4.19 ringgits.
