Report: Brit to leave US criminal justice market

Brit Ltd. is exiting the U.S. criminal justice insurance market as a part of its retrenchment of BRIT Global Specialty USA, The Insurance Insider reported.

The Arizona-based team worked on insuring prisons, detention facilities, rehabilitation centers and security training businesses.

Mike Davis, senior vice president of the U.S. criminal justice team, is retiring. Other team members are leaving or moving to other parts of the company, according to the report. Davis' retirement is reportedly unrelated to the company's decision to exit the market.

The Insider previously reported that Brit would exit its inland marine, yacht and Latin American operations in the U.S.
