Laura Ashley Holdings fiscal H1 profit climbs 9.0% YOY

Laura Ashley Holdings PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended July 26 came to £5.3 million, a rise of 9.0% from £4.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue grew year over year to £144.0 million from £137.3 million, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to £136.2 million from £130.4 million.

Reported net income grew 14.5% from the prior-year period to £6.3 million, or 1 pence per share, from £5.5 million, or 1 pence per share.
