Nichols H1 profit climbs 9.2% YOY

Nichols PLC said its normalized net income for the first half amounted to 20 Great British pence per share, an increase of 9.2% from 18 pence per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £7.5 million, a gain of 9.2% from £6.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to £56.5 million from £54.7 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to £44.6 million from £44.0 million.

Reported net income rose 18.9% from the prior-year period to £10.4 million, or 28 pence per share, from £8.7 million, or 24 pence per share.
