Japanese internet service provider Rakuten Inc. announced on Feb. 19 that it had appointed Kenji Hirose as CFO and chief risk officer, effective April 1.
Hirose will remain as group managing executive officer in addition to his new roles. He was previously Rakuten's chief compliance officer.
The company also said that director Joshua James and auditor Yoshiaki Senoo would resign from their posts on March 29.
Rakuten named Masahide Hiramoto as its outside, independent auditor, effective March 29. His appointment will be up for approval during the annual shareholders meeting on that date.
