U.S.-based household products company Clorox Co. said July 26 that it elected Beam Inc. President and CEO Matthew Shattock to its board of directors, effective Aug. 1.
Prior to his role in Beam, Shattock held executive leadership positions at British confectionery subsidiary company Cadbury and consumer goods giant Unilever.
Clorox added that, in line with the company's corporate governance guidelines, Jeffrey Noddle will retire as a director in November.
Noddle was the executive chairman of wholesaler and grocer SuperValu Inc., which, according to a same-day announcement, agreed to be acquired by supermarket supplier United Natural Foods Inc.
