SEDCO Capital buys UK asset for £35M; Fabege tower environmentally certified

* SEDCO Capital UK Ltd. announced the purchase of a 4.7-acre office complex in Bracknell, Berkshire, for £35.2 million, on behalf of its Saudi Arabia-based parent company and asset manager SEDCO Capital. The Waterside House property, spanning 94,867 square feet, is leased to telecommunications group Vodafone on a 30-year term, with 20.9 years remaining.

* Warehouse REIT PLC gained planning permission for up to 250,000 square feet of mixed-use space on 16 acres of land at the Queenslie Park industrial estate in Glasgow. The project, with a gross development value of £25 million, will offer logistics, industrial, commercial, storage, retail and hospitality space upon completion, the company said in a release.

* Budget hotel chain easyHotel PLC is shutting down its hotel at 80 Old St. in London to carry out an approximately £7 million revamp of the property. The hotel will reopen in the second half of 2019 to offer 89 rooms, as well as 15,500 square feet of office space.


* Fabege AB secured the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, or BREEAM, In Use Very Good certification for its Tidningshuset office tower in Stockholm after modernizing the 55-year-old property into an environmentally friendly building. The building has an underground plant nursery and a geothermal plant to cut electricity costs, according to a release.
