Nifco Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥58.56 per share, a gain of 12.8% from ¥51.90 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥3.19 billion, an increase of 16.3% from ¥2.75 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.5% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 11.8% year over year to ¥70.17 billion from ¥62.78 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 10.7% on an annual basis to ¥63.82 billion from ¥57.64 billion.
Reported net income increased 5.3% on an annual basis to ¥3.53 billion, or ¥64.79 per share, from ¥3.35 billion, or ¥63.41 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥281.59 per share, an increase of 21.4% from ¥231.89 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥15.36 billion, a gain of 25.3% from ¥12.26 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 17.9% on an annual basis to ¥265.68 billion from ¥225.41 billion, and total operating expenses increased 16.5% year over year to ¥238.11 billion from ¥204.44 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 37.4% year over year to ¥17.73 billion, or ¥325.08 per share, in the full year, from ¥12.90 billion, or ¥244.02 per share.
