Fox strikes deal for Premier Boxing Champions matches

21st Century Fox Inc. reached an agreement with Premier Boxing Champions for rights to show fights on FOX (US), FOX Sports 1 (US) and pay-per-view, The Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 4.

Starting in December, FOX Sports 1 will have the rights to show 12 fights annually, while FOX will have rights for 10 fights.

Premier Boxing Champions also recently extended its programming agreement with CBS Corp.'s Showtime (US).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the annual rights fees could reach more than $50 million, according to people familiar with the matter.
