CEO of PagSeguro parent company resigns

After just under a year on the job, Rômulo Dias resigned as CEO of Universo Online S/A, or UOL Group, the parent of Brazil-based credit card processing company PagSeguro Digital Ltd.

Dias, a former CEO of PagSeguro competitor Cielo SA, had taken the helm at UOL in April 2018. He stepped down from his director position at Banco Bradesco SA in order to take the position.

The company did not name a replacement in a March 21 statement announcing the resignation. PagSeguro said its executive officers and directors remain unchanged.
