DPL CEO resigns to assume chairmanship

Kenneth Zagzebski has resigned as president and CEO of DPL Inc. to assume the role of board chairman, according to a Form 8-K filed Feb. 5.

The company said CFO Craig Jackson will take over Zagzebski's former roles, while Gustavo Pimenta will succeed Jackson. Pimenta has been CFO for AES Corp. operations in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean since January 2015.

DPL also named Karin Nyhuis as controller, following the resignation of Kurt Tornquist. Nyhuis has been DPL's director of financial reporting and accounting since June 2016.

Additionally, the company said Barry Bentley, Leonardo Moreno and Mary Stawikey, as well as Jackson and Zagzebski, were elected, or re-elected, to the board of directors.

DPL is a subsidiary of AES, which announced a broader corporate restructuring also on Feb. 5.
