Colowide Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was a loss of ¥1.21 per share, compared with a loss of ¥1.88 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥91.0 million, compared with a loss of ¥151.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to negative 0.2% from negative 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥36.48 billion, compared with ¥36.24 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled ¥35.91 billion, compared with ¥35.83 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥891.0 million, or a loss of ¥11.87 per share, compared to income of ¥1.56 billion, or ¥19.28 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
