Bytom Q2 profit climbs YOY

Bytom SA said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 4 groszy per share, a gain from 1 groszy per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.3 million zlotys, a gain from 968,750 zlotys in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 9.9% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 33.9% year over year to 33.4 million zlotys from 25.0 million zlotys, and total operating expenses grew 18.8% year over year to 27.6 million zlotys from 23.2 million zlotys.

Reported net income increased year over year to 5.3 million zlotys, or 7 groszy per share, from 2.1 million zlotys, or 3 groszy per share.

As of Aug. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 3.80 zlotys.
