Oslo bourse raises questions about Euronext offer

Oslo Børs VPS Holding ASA will reassess Euronext NV's proposal to acquire the company through a tender offer, it said Dec. 28.

The bourse's holding company raised questions about the tender process after shareholders representing 50.6% of its capital had agreed to back Euronext's offer.

It said that the compact auction process that was carried out before the board was notified had left out certain "strategic relevant participants," spurring it to consider alternative initiatives to "maximize shareholder value."

Oslo Børs has hired Arctic Securities to advise on the offer and said it will meet Euronext in January.
