Prima Meat Packers Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥9.90 per share, a decline from ¥10.38 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.21 billion, a decrease from ¥2.32 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 2.3% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 12.6% year over year to ¥95.16 billion from ¥84.52 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 13.9% from the prior-year period to ¥91.75 billion from ¥80.52 billion.
Reported net income decreased year over year to ¥2.19 billion, or ¥9.78 per share, from ¥2.28 billion, or ¥10.19 per share.
As of Feb. 9, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.60.
