Software maker Autodesk Inc. reported a slightly larger net loss and higher net revenue in the fourth quarter of its fiscal 2018 compared to the prior-year period.
The company's net loss for the quarter ending Jan. 31 came in at $173.5 million, compared to $173.4 million in the same quarter last year. Its net loss per share was 79 cents in the current quarter, compared to a net loss per share of 78 cents in the same quarter last year.
In addition, total net revenue rose to $553.8 million, up 15.7% from the prior-year quarter's $478.8 million.
The net revenue increase was mainly attributable to an increase in revenue from subscriptions of $150.3 million which pushed the subscription revenue in the current quarter to $293.7 million from the comparable quarter's $143.4 million.
Total cost of revenue for the period declined to $73.1 million for the current quarter, a decline of 11.8% compared to $82.9 million in the prior-year quarter.
The company posted a net loss for the fiscal year ending Jan. 31 of $566.9 million, down 2.61% from last year's net loss of $582.1 million.
