Zix issues Q1, FY'18 guidance

Zix Corp. has provided its financial outlooks for the first quarter and full year 2018 and reported its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2017.

For the first quarter, the company expects total revenue of $16.6 million to $16.8 million, representing an increase of 4% to 6% year-over-year. GAAP EPS is anticipated to be in a range of 4 cents to 5 cents and non-GAAP adjusted EPS is projected to be 8 cents for the period.

For fiscal 2018, the company projects total revenue of $67.5 million to $69.0 million, representing an increase of 3% to 5% compared to fiscal 2017. GAAP EPS is expected to be in a range of 17 cents to 19 cents and non-GAAP adjusted EPS is projected to be 32 cents for 2018.

Additionally, Zix reported a fourth-quarter 2017 net loss of $12.9 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with net income of $1.9 million, or 4 cents per share, a year ago. Non-GAAP adjusted net income for the quarter was $4.5 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with $3.7 million, or 7 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

For fiscal 2017, the company posted a net loss of $8.1 million, or 15 cents per share, compared with net income of $5.8 million, or 11 cents per share, a year ago. Non-GAAP adjusted net income for the year was $15.6 million, or 29 cents per share, compared with $14.0 million, or 26 cents per share, in 2016.
