Workers end strike at Nexa's Cajamarquilla smelter, agree to enter talks

Unionized workers agreed to end the strike at Nexa Resources SA's Cajamarquilla zinc smelter in Peru, Reuters reported March 10, citing the company.

The labor action started March 5 after government-mediated talks between the parties ended without any agreement. The union was seeking a wage increase and better benefits for workers.

The company has agreed to meet with the workers to discuss their demands.
