Nordex receives 1.7 GW of wind turbine orders in Q3'19

Nordex SE received 436 wind turbine orders with a total output of 1.7 GW in the third quarter of 2019. This compares to 974 MW in the prior-year period.

The orders were for projects in 14 countries. Europe accounted for 60% of orders from July to September, the U.S. accounted for 28% and Latin America for 12%.

"We continue to see strong demand for our wind turbine systems in Europe and overseas, with the new Delta4000 series recording particularly great interest," Nordex Chief Sales Officer Patxi Landa said in an Oct. 15 news release.

According to the company, overall order intake in the first nine months of 2019 rose to 4.7 GW from 3.1 GW in the same period in 2018.
