Tomas Maier steps down as creative director of Kering's Bottega Veneta

French luxury goods group Kering SA said June 13 that Tomas Maier has left his role as creative director of its Bottega Veneta brand.

Maier had been with the Italian leather goods and fashion label since 2001.

In a statement, Kering chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault credited Maier with putting Bottega Veneta "back on the luxury scene" during his tenure.

A new creative director for the brand was not named, and Kering did not indicate what steps were being taken regarding a replacement for Maier.
