Nomura Holdings Inc. and Nomura Research Institute Ltd. have set up their joint venture company that will make use of blockchain technology to develop a platform for exchanging securities and other rights.
The new company, called Boostry Co. Ltd., was established Sept. 2 with ¥1.18 billion of capital.
Nomura holds a 66% stake in the joint venture, while Nomura Research Institute holds a 34% stake.
As of Sept. 2, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.27.
