CKR Carbon to rebrand as Gratomic, appoints directors

CKR Carbon Corp. said Dec. 21 that it secured approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to change the company's name to Gratomic Inc.

The name change will be effective at the opening of the market on Dec. 22, under the new symbol GRAT.

Gratomic refers to micro graphite that the company plans to produce to replace carbon black in tires.

CKR Carbon added that Daniel Bloch has been appointed as a director to replace Ian Flint, who resigned from the board. Flint will continue to act as a technical advisor to the company.

Denis Laviolette also joined the company's board, with the appointments subject to the exchange approval.

Laviolette currently serves as the president of Newfound Gold Corp., president and CEO of Goldspot Discoveries Inc., and a director of Xtra-Gold Resources Corp., Northern Sphere Mining Corp. and Tartisan Resources Corp.
