Petrobras appoints Antunes interim chairman after Guedes de Carvalho steps down

Jerônimo Antunes was appointed as interim chairman of the board of directors at state-controlled Petróleo Brasileiro SA - Petrobras, the company said. Jan. 2.

Luiz Nelson Guedes de Carvalho resigned from the position Jan. 1. Additionally, board member Francisco Petros Oliveira Lima Papathanasiadis stepped down from his role.

Antunes has been a member of Petrobras' board of directors since July 2015, a member of the audit committee since September 2015 and chairman of that committee since August 2016. Antunes is also president of the Petrobras Conglomerate's CAE.
