Union de Cervecerias Peruanas Backus y Johnston SAA said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 226.3 million soles, an increase of 12.3% from 201.4 million soles in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 21.1% from 20.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.4% year over year to 1.07 billion soles from 1.01 billion soles, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to 700.1 million soles from 668.1 million soles.
Reported net income came to 257.5 million soles, compared with 230.1 million soles in the year-earlier period.
As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 3.31 soles.
