PL Capital Group to name board nominee going up against BNCCORP nominee

The PL Capital Group intends to nominate Martin Alwin to the board of Bismarck, N.D.-based BNCCORP INC. in opposition to a candidate the latter plans to nominate at the 2019 annual shareholders' meeting.

Alwin is currently a senior analyst with the PL Capital Group.

PL Capital Group, which beneficially owns 340,800 common shares or a 9.7% stake in BNCCORP, said it also plans "to present several important stockholder proposals."

The PL Capital Group, which includes PL Capital Advisors LLC, a firm dedicated to investments in the banking sector and shareholder activism, as well as various affiliates, is among the largest shareholders of the Bismarck, N.D.-based company, according to a press release.
