Auto-Owners Insurance CEO to retire

Auto-Owners Insurance Co. Chairman and CEO Jeff Harrold is retiring, effective Dec. 31, from the company and its affiliates, the Insurance Journal reported.

Jeffrey Tagsold will succeed Harrold as chairman and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Tagsold currently holds the president and COO roles at Auto-Owners.

Daniel Thelen, who is currently executive vice president, will become president of Auto-Owners and its affiliates. Carolyn Muller, currently senior vice president of claims, will become executive vice president.
