Alphabet Inc. stockholders voted against seven shareholder proposals at the annual meeting on June 6, including two related to voting rights.
One of those would have eliminated the company's dual-class voting structure in favor of granting one vote per share to all stockholders and another had called for a simple majority of votes on measures requiring shareholder approval. Two similar proposals recently failed to pass a vote by Facebook Inc. shareholders.
Other rejected Alphabet shareholder proposals called for the company to issue reports on lobbying, compensation, board diversity and sustainability. Another called for a report to review the efficacy of enforcement of Google's terms of service related to content shared on its platforms.
