Rakuten Inc. said March 8 that its agricultural arm, Rakuten Ragri, will team up with healthcare company Tanita Corp. to jointly develop a menu for Tanita Cafe.
The menu will feature vegetables provided by Ragri, which is Rakuten's online community-supported agriculture service in which farmers produce crops based on orders received directly from consumers. The menu selection will include prepared salads and other items made with organic vegetables.
Tanita Cafe's flagship branch is expected to open in Tokyo in May. Tanita intends to open 100 cafes across Japan by the end of March 2023.
