China Yangtze Power's H1 profit ticks up as operating income jumps

China Yangtze Power Co. Ltd. said its net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half of 2019 was 8.57 billion yuan, 0.59% higher than 8.52 billion yuan in the same period last year.

The hydropower company's earnings per share for the first half of the year grew 0.59% to 0.3897 yuan from 0.3874 yuan.

The operating income in the January to June period in 2019 climbed 6.0% to 20.36 billion yuan, from 19.21 billion yuan in the same period in 2018.

China Yangtze Power engages in operation, management, consultation, investment and financing of hydropower stations in China.

As of Aug. 30, US$1 was equivalent to 7.15 yuan.
