Geoffrey Woodward resigned as a director of Resource Real Estate Opportunity REIT Inc., effective immediately.
The multifamily-focused real estate investment trust said in a release that Woodward is unable to continue devoting the necessary time and attention to the board, adding that his resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company.
The board, meanwhile, appointed Robert Lieber as a director. Lieber is executive managing director of both C-III Capital Partners LLC and Island Capital Group LLC, as well as CEO of Resource Capital Corp. He became a director of Resource Income Opportunity REIT Inc. in September 2016. From 2007 to 2010, Lieber worked under then New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as deputy mayor for economic development.
