Sunautas Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 31 was a loss of ¥8.98 per share, compared with ¥23.73 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥28.1 million, compared with income of ¥76.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 0.3% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 14.9% on an annual basis to ¥9.49 billion from ¥11.14 billion, and total operating expenses declined 13.5% year over year to ¥9.54 billion from ¥11.02 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥34.0 million, or a loss of ¥10.85 per share, compared to income of ¥75.2 million, or ¥23.20 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of March 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥121.18.
